Medical Release Form: If your child needs medication at any time, you MUST turn in this form along with the medication. This is the only way we are allowed to give your child medication.
A huge thank you to everyone that contributed to a very successful homecoming dance. It is amazing how many great students and parents we have.
Monday - practice (winds & perc 3:30-6:30, guard 5-8).
Tuesday - concert (wind ensemble report time is 6:15, concert band is 6:30. Make sure you are dress appropriately or you will NOT perform. You must have either a white tux shirt or white dress shirt with your tux and appropriate foot ware. Black dress shoes and black sock for guys)
Thursday - practice 2:30-5:30
Friday - morning march, practice 2:30-4, game report 6
Saturday - Contest at Mariner (schedule will be out tomorrow. Most likely practice at 8am.)

It is not pretty yet but this will make everything so much easier. Please click on the link and sign up to work at least one football game concession. We make over $8,000 with this but we can not do it without your help.If you have any problems signing up let me know via remind101. We have such a great group and I love the positive vibes. Keep it moving forward.
I want to encourage everyone to get involved this year. We have so many great things planned for all of our groups. We will be participating in the 2016 Peach Bowl this yea. This trip will include performances for everyone. Our concert band will participate in a festival as will our jazz band. All of our students will participate in the Peach Bowl parade and a mass performance of all the bands attending the Peach Bowl. We have a great seasonplanned for the Mighty Sailor Band again competing in the FMBC circuit and attending our FBA music performance assessment. Our concert bands will again be performing outstanding concerts this year and will be attending our FBA MPA as well. I will continue the Sweet Jazz event for our Admirals but will also be adding a dinner/dance in late Novemeber and will focus on the music of the swing era. We will host the homecoming dance, sell concessions at football games, and many other fun and outstanding events and activities.
We need your help. Please get involved. Start by joining our band boosters. The cost is only $5. I want to make a big push for this this year. If your child is in marching band you can join at our mandatory meeting on August 11. Everyone else can join at our first regular booster meeting in September. Our meetings are posted under the calendar link.
I want to thank a few people for already stepping up. In addition to our elected Band Boosters officers James Stubbs will be our equipment coordinator and will be putting together a fun group of people to help the Mighty Sailor Band move and set up equipment at football games and our contest. Hanna Crowder will be our volunteer coordinator. She will help make sure we have chaperones and other volunteers as needed at our events this year. And Tina Crumpton will be our Freshmen Liason. She will be reaching out to all of our freshmen parents offering help and advice throughout the year. We have other important postions that will be filled in the near future. It takes a great team of people all working together in a positive way to make everything run smooth and I really appreciate those that have already stepped up. If you are planning to attend our trip to the Peach Bowl next year you need to get signed up right away. The deadline was suppose to be today. I will check our numbers on Monday and see if we have reached 50 students. Here are the documents about the trip that were provided at our meeting.

It is time to make a commitment. Forms and $25 deposit are due by June 3rd. Please download the commitment form and get yours turn in asap. Current 8th graders should contact Mr. Alfrey at email@example.com and he will pick up at your MS for you.
